As you probably noticed, I'm not really active on here very much right now (I'm always logged in, so even if it says I'm here I'm probably not).
Nothing awful going on, just lots of things keeping me busy. So I'll be flitting in every now and then to weed through messages, but I'm basically taking a break from DA for a little while.

Welcome, 2014!

This year has been a real roller coaster. I think we spent more time in doctor's offices/hospitals/etc. than we have in several other years combined, but I also think we have finally reached some answers. Next year will be lots more doctors, but hopefully now for treatment and not diagnosis. My husband seems to be healing well from his surgeries, I have hope that 2014 just might finally bring relief for him.
I really did almost nothing art wise this year. No real personal growth in that department, in fact, I've been very discouraged with my art. But who knows, maybe I'll have more time this coming year, and will have more patience with myself. My little girl is 2 now (!), so she would really enjoy benefitting from my sewing, at least, if I can just get the time/energy/inspiration.
As far as fun stuff this year, though, there have been a lot of little things. The new Pokemon game rocks, I've found a possible new obsession series (I've started watching some of the Once Upon A Time episodes, may go back and start from the beginning), have thoroughly enjoyed playing LOTRO, and I've discovered that small children can make ANYTHING interesting and fun again. You have never truly seen a Christmas tree until you have looked at it with a thrilled little toddler holding your hand ^_^
So to bring this year to a close, I wish you all a wonderful, happy, healthy, blessed new year. May we all look back on it in a year with nothing but fond memories!
